Setting: In Modern Japan, few minutes before the unusual occurrence, room 101, a floor below Kitane’s room.
I toss and turn on my bed. ‘I wonder how she is. Does she even know?’ I sit up on the edge of my bed with my thoughts only of her. “I need to tell her.” I scan my room for my hand-made face towel. It was embroidered with the initials “K.H.” in ornate red letters against the light blue cotton towel. I found it next to my things that support me throughout my life, or whatever is left of it. I go to my bathroom sink and let the dripping water fall off
Chapter OnePart One: KitaneChapter One
Setting: In Modern day Japan, within the Shibuya District; in an apartment complex two floors up from the main building, room 256.
I shout and gasp for air as I rise up from the bed from the horrid dream. ‘That woman was…’ I try to calm myself down and I look at the red digital clock on my bedside table. It’s blinking 2:30 am. ‘The same time too…’ the sentences of what the woman said kept ringing in my ears, “Unless the Marked One defeats the Dominant Ark, The Other can only endure so soon. For Its magic splits the Other through.”

There are voices speaking in another language. I can understand what they’re saying but I can never say it.” There she is! GET HER,” exclaiming one of the voices,” THE BABY TOO!!!” Frantically running, I turn to the nearest hallway on my left; I squeeze through one of its crevices to hide shushing the bundle in my arms. Once I hear the footsteps pass by I look at where I am. I’m in a hallway with so many doors paneling its walls. Every door was unique with its own door ornament. One stood out amongst the wonderfully decorated doors; it was old with a rusty handle as a door. ‘I wonder w
